Detailed Eligibility – Associate Security Platform Engineer
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, CCSA preferred.
- Security certifications like AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH are an advantage.
Required Experience:
- Entry-level knowledge/experience in Security technologies (Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy).
- Exposure to technical support, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience providing remote support in Security Technologies.
- Basic knowledge of SOC/CSIRT Operations and security incident handling.
- Exposure to Security engineering.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of SIEM or security monitoring tools.
- Understanding of security architecture and technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
- Good communication (spoken and written) and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment.
- Handle security tool administration, log monitoring, escalations, reporting, and training.
- Perform lifecycle management of security tools (patching, updates, fixes).
- Support security incident handling and response (endpoint, malware analysis, forensics, detection, response).
- Identify opportunities for automation to support incident response teams.
- Document best practices and adhere to SOPs.
About the Role:
The Associate Security Platform Engineer is an entry-level subject matter expert role, focusing on problem resolution, monitoring, incident handling, and content maintenance (tuning). You will work on escalated threats, suspicious activities, and support enterprise infrastructure security across servers, networks, and applications.
